Artists illuminate Vivid Sydney 2016 light festival

The lights and installations of Vivid Sydney 2016 have been switched on to illuminate some of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks, including the Sydney Opera House to launch the festival. Running for 23 nights until June 18, the festival will for the first time light up the Royal Botanic Garden, Taronga Zoo and The Galleries. Other major light installations have returned to Customs House, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Central Park and in Chatswood.
The sails of the Sydney Opera House are featuring the work of Indigenous artists in a display called Songlines. Music during Vivid 2016 also features performances from Bjork, New Order, Bon Iver and Boy George.
